Water Line Project
CHERRY CREEK VILLAGE WATER DISTRICT
COMPLETION OF THE NORTH WATER LINE REPLACEMENT PROJECT
The Board of Directors of the Cherry Creek Village Water District would like to thank all those involved in the successful water line replacement project. The contractor, Diaz Construction, did an incredible job of completing the project in a very professional manner, keeping our residents safe. The District’s engineer, Greg Sekera with Kennedy/Jenks and his team were onsite and provided construction supervision. The affected neighbors supported the project and communication was successful between the contractor and neighborhood. Neighbors, thank you for your patience!
The District’s Board of Directors, over many years, were prudent and reserved monies to pay for this major capital project, without the need to borrow funds.
Construction started in August 2023 and was completed in December. The scope of the project included installation of new water lines in S. Akron Ct., S. Alton Pl., and S. Alton St., asphalt removal and replacement, sidewalk repairs, and final street restoration. The final cost of construction was $656,315, which was below the engineer’s estimate.
